Raising Rarities offers Cypripediums.
Currently we sell native species and hybrids. We are very interested in
offering Asian Cypripedium species, other hardy orchids and rare
companion plants as well.
All of our orchids for sale will have some
variation in color and form. They are however; close enough in size and
color to be labeled uniform. (See photos for variation) Our best hybrid
available at this time directly from us is Kentuckiense X manchuricum.
Hilda was registered for the first time by Raising Rarities in 2001 with
the Royal Horticultural Society of England and named Francis, after our
founders’ mother.
We are proud to offer
these to the public for the first time after many years of diligent labor,
best genetics and a wealth of botanical information. We do believe we have
some of the best genetics on the orchid market today. We continue to strive
to be the forerunners in this field so that many avid gardeners can have the
pleasure of experiencing the beauty of hardy orchids in their own prize
gardens. Please look for other first time hybrids in coming years.

for mailing checks.

If you place an order and choose to send a check by snail mail, then the
check must be received within two weeks from the order date or the order
will be voided.

All orders are filled and
shipped during dormant months only; these months are starting
October 1st
through and are on a first come first serve basis.
· Between the months of
May 1st
and September 30th, a 50% deposit must be received to hold any stock
ordered. The remaining deposit must be made in order to receive the plants
in October, the beginning of our dormant season.
